Key Role and Responsibilities:

A Mechanical Estimator will have a strong knowledge in Design Build, Lump Sum and Conceptual Estimating with Project Experience up to CAN 1M. The ability to lead/work with estimating teams with the preparation of Estimates and Bid Strategies, Soliciting Specific Sub-Trades, Suppliers and issuing sub-contracts. Determining scope-of-work, defining the contractual requirements for the project and creating preliminary construction schedules while Mentoring and Training the less experienced Mechanical Estimators.

Required Experience:
-8+ Years Experience as a Mechanical Estimator
- Demonstrable Record of Success with large-scale projects coupled with leadership abilities and effective decision-making capabilities
- Proficient with Industry Standard Software including; QuickPen, Xactimate..etc.
- Working Knowledge and Understanding of Building Codes, Sub-Trades, Contracts, Blue Prints, Scheduling, Monitoring Cost, Post-Bid Analysis.

Highly Desired Experience:
- A Post Secondary Education in the Mechanical field with a P. Eng or Engineering Technology
- Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Estimating or Project Management Background
- Construction Estimating, Gold Seal, and awards or recognition on past projects
- Project Experience in Institutional, Commercial, Industrial Construction.
